Statewide Tourism Impact Study

For years we have all been working to increase the amount of money that is dedicated to statewide tourism promotion.  During that time, we have found that what we are missing in our efforts is the data to truly show how the decrease in statewide tourism promotion has affected Pennsylvania’s economy.

Therefore, we have put out a request for proposal (RFP) to 6 different research firms to compile the information we need to make our case for increased statewide funding for tourism.  Of course, these studies do not come for free and we would like to show when the study is completed in September that the entire industry is behind it.

Please consider the request for financial support to help us pay for this study.  Our goal is to raise $50,000 to ensure not only that we are able to obtain the information we need, but also to do the PR and outreach needed when the study is complete.  As we all know, for every dollar PA invests in Tourism there is a high return—I hope we can all agree that our investment in this study will have the same return for our businesses and associations.
